SEPLA Review #11 - Paraguay 2020-2

In this second review dedicated to Paraguay, we include an article referring to the economic projections related to the large public road investments that are being carried out with the construction of two international bridges and the Bioceanic route. Secondly, we include the annual report of the Paraguayan Political Economy Society (SEPPY) in relation to the second year of government of President Mario Abdo Benítez, of the Republican National Association party. This party has governed Paraguay since 1948, with a four-year interruption, 2008-2012, during the first government of peaceful and democratic alternation in the entire history of this country, whose president, Fernando Lugo, was removed through a summary impeachment trial. , 14 months before the end of the government period. With said SEPPY annual report, the situation outlined is complemented, as well as the critical approach of the first review on Paraguay, a country little known in Our America. In a special section, we also include a systematization of the struggle of the students of the National University of Asunción for the recent creation of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
